C’est Tout Bon

Disregard any ill will that might have dripped on the screen from my previous post. I contacted the author, Daniel Somercrof, and asked how he came up with the title for his book. I mentioned, of course, this place. In his response, he says:

The title refers to alcohol dependence; the novel’s main character, a hired killer, drinks regularly, particularly bourbon. When he is without, it poses some problems. The title is derived from “lunatic asylum”. Serge Gainsbourg spoke of one in one of his songs.

So it’s all a coincidence. And though I was a bit rash before, let me be more magnanimous by providing you readers with a link to his book, Bourbon Asylum, available from Amazon.com. The novel is in French so brush up on your language skills if you’re like me and haven’t studied for years.
