Howard Zinn is History
Howard Zinn, author of A People’s History of the United States, teacher, and lefty poster boy, has passed away at the age of 87. Understandably, this will be cause for celebration by the Hannibeckbaughs — though they’ll offered mock platitudes.
A People’s History… is a look at this country from the perspective of non-white males. For some, it’s a correcting of the heavily Euro-centric version we were taught in school: multicultural; critical; insightful. For others, it’s a gallon drum of liberal pabulum and deserves to join the pyre during the next book burning festival. As always, I leave it to my fellows to read and make their own conclusions.
Professor Zinn’s is a viewpoint that will be missed.
